
Gili Islands and Lombok offers tourists numerous activities, sites, and adventures. The most common way to get to Lombok and the Gilis is from Bali. There are 3 main ways to reach Lombok from Bali by small aircrafts, fast boats or by the local public ferry. Public ferry is a large ferries that carry passengers and vehicles which operate daily between Padangbai and Lembar Harbor. Public ferry are quite slow, it could take about 8 hours to cross. There are fast boats that operate between Bali and Gili islands such as Blue Water Express, Gili Cat, and Eka Jaya. These fast boats are faster than the ferry, but rather expensive than flying. The Blue Water Express departs daily from Benoa Harbor directly to Gili Trawangan while Gili Cat and Eka Jaya depart daily from Padang Bai.

The Blue Water Express fast boat has become the most popular way of getting to the Gilis. With only USD 75 per person (one way), The Blue Water Express offers you free air conditioned transfers from and to Kuta area in Bali. Kuta is about 20 minutes from Benoa Harbor. It takes about two hours to get you directly to the beaches of Trawangan, Air or Meno. Blue Water Express departs from Benoa harbor in Bali around 08:00 AM, headed for the Gilis (Trawangan, Meno and Air).
And the Blue Water Express departs from Gili Trawangan around 12:00 AM. Blue Water Express cruises with the speed around 30 knots and equipped with international standard of safety equipment such as life jackets, GPS, VHF radio, flares, and auto inflating life rafts.
THE GILI CAT FAST BOAT FROM PADANG BAI TO GILI ISLANDS
Gili Cat is a small Australian made fast boat that departs from Padang Bai Bali at 09:00 AM daily and takes about two hours to Gili Trawangan. The boat departs from Gili Trawangan around 11:30 AM and heading back to Bali at around 12:15 PM. Gili Cat is capable of cruising at 30 knots, with 16 passenger seats capacity. Gili Cat is also equipped with the latest international safety equipment and a SOLAS standard life preserver for all passengers.
EKA JAYA FAST BOAT FROM PADANG BAI TO GILI ISLANDS (DIRECT)
Eka Jaya fast boat is one of the fast boats that operate between Bali to Gili Islands. This boat is also equipped with international standard of safety such as GPS, VHF radio, life raft, life jacket, fire extinguisher and others. Eka Jaya departs daily from Padang Bai Bali at 08:15 AM, and arrives in Gili Trawangan around 09:30AM. The boat departs from Gili Trawangan at 10:30 and arrives in Padang Bai at around 11:30 AM.
